Excited to have a fresh AT case with a triple digit speed indicator but also a cutout for a ps2 mouse port. This case is very similar to the one used by Falcon Northwest in the MachV, which also gives me some ideas.

Now to decide what to install or possibly swap the guts from another system.

First up is probably replacing the PS, I can probably recap it later for another build.

I agree!

I really lean towards socket 3 486 builds. But open to ideas . I don’t have any AT Pentium boards atm but maybe I should remedy that.

I thought you have already two great 486 builds. One was Asus VLI based and the other one MSI-4144, or was it Biostar UUD ?
But 3 is always more than 2.

Nope you’re right, just thinking one more might do it 🤣. Also thinking about moving the 4144 into this case to have that “200” on the front display.

This hobby in general is completely under appreciated by the wife, when I pass all my machines will promptly be set to the curb. I need to put little sticky notes on them. Please ship to pshipkov or feipoa 🤣.

Yeah, I would go with 1st gen pentium CPU ( 133 thru 233mmx )
Win95b
64mb ram
PCI USB 2.0 card
Maybe a CF card instead of Zip drive.
3com 3c509 network card.
s3trio 64 dx video card
ISA Sound blaster AWE 64
Sony 52x CDROM drive.
SSD or CF card for hard drive.
Intel 430 chipset motherboard. ( VX or TX )
