Hello!

I installed my old "Civilization", installed DosBox and run this classic in DosBox. Everything works perfect. Except one thing - after trying to save my game "Error writing map file" appears. The game enables you to choose the letter of the drive where the game should be saved - from A: to F: - and it does not work with any.

Does anyone could help me? I would be truly grateful!

Well, how are your drive letters set up in DOSBox?

Just press Enter when asked for the drive letter, and if that doesn't work, check if the directory or files are set read-only.

Saving works just fine in Civ if everything is normal.

Thanks for such a quick reply!... Most often I mount Civilization directory as C drive. No file, no directory concerning Civilization is set read-only. I still don't know what to do.
