I also seem to be having issues sending an [ALT]+[ M ] command to the game. Dosbox registers the keystroke coming in correctly from the DosClient, but it seems to not register with the game.

In fact I can't send any [ALT] strokes through.

can you show where exactly?

Here:

no, it is not:

Different frame. That building changes colour from frame to frame and that's been happening in all videos.

Would you say this is a regression?

on main page you choose "files" from the menu
than you choose game name
than the file name
or you can just use this direct link
https://racesimcentral.net/indycar-racing-ii/?sim=downloads
😉

the file is called
Rendition INDYCAR.EXE - 581KB
ICR2REND.zip – 581.85 KB
you can click it or choose direct link
https://racesimcentral.net/download/rendition … mstv=1713178065

on youtube you can click in the bottom right corner of a movie on a gear icon (options) it allows setting resolution and playback speed.
0.25 may be fine for watching every frame, you can use arrow keys left and right to skip back or forward

if that is not enough you can download movie with "4k video downloader"
https://www.4kdownload.com/products/videodownloader-42

you can play them in VLC media player
https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
VLC media player allows watching movies frame by frame by pressing key "e"
you can also keep "e" pressed

if a recording was done in 60fps, this way by counting frames you can tell game's real fps

Icr2 link not valid. Redirects to main web page.
I assume it's patched for v2000 and that's why it's not runs?

@vetz can you help please?

Indycar.exe does work. I was messing around with RReady and messed something up.

to make indycar2 patched to work you need to use

Rendition v1-v2 SPD3D.UC Switcher - 36.3KB
spdrsc.zip – 36.34 KB

and use v1 spd3d
with v2 spd3d on v2000 i can't run it from pure dos, only in restart to dos mode after windows get loaded
v1 on v1000 directly start from pure dos

Got it working. Thanks.

Dust particles don't render with rready. Is there something I have to do to enable it?

I seem to have randomly high latency with named pipes. Sometimes it'll run really well. Somtimes it'll chug. Asynchronous named pipe IO appears with large buffers appears to be the culprit. But I have no idea why it does that.[EDIT] MIght have to switch to socket IO. But I do remember it worked reliably earlier on, so it might just be soemthing I've messed up.[/EDIT]

The Rendition enhanced levels have textures whose sizes I can't sometimes determine. Sometimes they swing from right as rain to a weird mess. Some textures can't be sized at all, I haven't been able to get them to render. The standard levels are all fine now, but those algorithms don't work for the enhanced levels. The standard levels use 4 bit paletted textures and the enhanced stuff uses 16 bit texels.

Yes I checked, in Icr2
Options->Graphics->smoke/dirt - > on

@Raven-05 or anyone with a Rendition board:
Could you run this from Windows?

I need the two linebytes values it returns (RRedline, they should be the same under Speedy3D).
