I have a socket 3 motherboard with my first time using a bevel tip for thin trace repairs I have managed to use a wire to bridge a broken trace but for now its only soldered to the trace and not fixed to the board, if the wire was to be knocked or bumped I'm sure the original trace would lift off with the wire, is a good way to secure it to use common superglue? I'm not sure though because if the superglue or wire needs to be removed later wouldn't the glue make more trouble than good.
