The machine came and it's exactly as i thought!
It's a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ with a Gigabyte GA-7VKML motherboard. Geforce 4 Ti 4200 graphics card, Sound Blaster Live! SB0060 and 512MB RAM DDR
I want to switch my cases around for slightly more period correctness so off we go...

The hidden gem inside the PC i bought, a Gainward Geforce 4 Ti 4200 card! This card alone paid for the entire PC + shipping 😁
Sadly the motherboard is suffering from the capacitor plaque from around that time, luckyily none have leaked yet but i will have to swap these out at some point.

Let the fun begin...

Thats the Windows 98 PC done the case is definetly more XP era but i love Windows 9x gaming but love the PC looks from XP era so its a little mash up of my favourites.

I have some blue new old stock CCFL neons for inside the case once i've moved and have a proper desk to put it all on.

Both machines are getting CF cards for storage, 8GB for Windows 95/DOS and 16GB for Windows 98 SE

All done, granted the second case is a XP era case as well but it does look kinda retro to me so will stick with it, why not.
