1GB memory stick on i5

got cr and n2 working on a different socket AM2 mobo with single core Athlon 64 (1GB memory). I guess next step is to try Phenom on this board and A64 on the other board.

a64 in the other board: cr and n2 still don't work.

phenom doesn't start in the other board at all (bios updated to latest):

Do you get the same error with the Phenom as in the other board? (Could not map physical to logic ...)

exactly the same error on phenom and a64 on ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe as yours:
