Decreassing processor speed to 300mhz with the multiplier
You say you have a P3 1000. AFAIK, you have no working multiplier on it. In other words, it won't care what you set as multiplier.
What you might be able to do is set FSB to 66.
well, the bios says it is reduced to 300, but, on the other hand, how can MHZ be a problem if it works perfectly with Windows 95?

But before you do that is the hard disk and optical drive IDE and are they on the same IDE channel as Master/Slave?
If they are put each drive on its own channel as Master then retry installing Win98.
Do this even if you are installing from the CAB files copied to C:
I'm using a SATA hard drive using a sata to IDE converter, and it is connected as the master. I only use that hard drive, it has 4 partitions, for the different OS. And as I told you, it worked perfectly for all of them but 98. 98 is in the third primary partition. I can't pass the memtest now because I'm not there, but how can the memory be a problem if I tryed already removing one of the sticks and it works perfectly under 3.11, 95 and 2000?

Is there a setting for the AGP in the CMOS settings? I would set it to 2x if there is. I would also try a different video card.
Yes it is, I'm not there now, but I'll try when I'm on that city. How can that be a problem if it works perfectly under 3.11, 95 and 2000?
