So I have a ribbon cable for 3.5" floppy where I "inserted" one 5.25" connector from another cable, in order to be able to connect both floppies in my system.
5.25" connector is first on the cable and at the end after twist is 3.5" connector. When I connected all, both floppies had a led on all the time (so that is wrong). I flipped connectors, and now there is no led light, and boot up floppy seek from bios, lights up both devices at startup (as it should).
The problem is, that I still get the floppy disk(s) fail (40) when I power on my PC. My HDD is also not recognized anymore, but I will deal with that later.
I can flip connectors in any orientation, but how to find the correct one?
