I'm going to split large files into ~32MB volumes on the BBS, since I imagine the use case for the larger files is pretty limited on systems where BBS access is your /only/ option, and large downloads in volumes are kinda period correct anyway 🤣!

I've re-built the file database, including building a file_id.diz for each download. Searching is better than before, listings are much more readable, and adding files to the download queue won't crash your session.

Winning!

I found an old Public Domain Info Utility from 1992:

INFOPLUS Version 1.56

https://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=2235

While searching for some old memory test apps ran into:
INFOPLUS
Version 1.57 Released to the public domain.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Im trying to make MSI Afterburner old version collection to save it for future, but i cant find 2 first versions.
Version 1.1.0 (published on 01.10.2009)
Version 1.0.0 (published on 17.09.2009) - Initial version printed on CD, it probably means bundled with some videocard on cd.

I tortured Wayback machine as far as i could, maybe some has it offline or has better google fu than me..

Im old goal oriented goatman, i care about facts and freedom, not about egos+prejudices. Hoarding=sickness. If you want respect, gain it by your behavior. I hate stupid SW limits, SW=virtual world, everything should be possible if you have enough raw HW.

Started imaging and scanning some of my old driver/game floppies. Not sure what the best method of uploading them is, I scanned the floppies as .tif files and they are ~11MB each. These are all original disks (hopefully) unmodified.

  1. Generic VIDE-CDD driver disk:
Has version 2.14 of vide-cdd.sys and a UDF reader program version 1.1. Disk is similar to this one: https://archive.org/details/cd-rewriter-dos-w … n-9x-nt4-driver, but is labeled with "CD-ROM DEVICE DRIVER" instead.
  2. GFC2204 FAST PCI Adapter driver disk:
F=ma adapter diskette, dated 07-21-1999. Not sure if this is backed up anywhere else other than maybe driverguide.
  3. Gravis Firebird V1.0-01:
    Shipped with Gravis Firebird joystick
  4. Gravis Utilities
I have 2 of these, both are identical and both lack the INSTALL.BAT I see most versions online came with. The disks most likely came with a Gravis PC Gamepad (which I still have) and a Gravis PC Pro Joystick (which I unfortunately no longer have).
  5. Linksys Ether16 LAN Card Instant Ethernet Series Program Disk
  6. Linksys EtherPCI LAN Card II Instant EtherFast Series Program Disk
  7. Linksys EtherPCI LAN Card II Instant Ethernet Series Program Disk
  8. Logitech MouseWare 7.0:
MOUSE.EXE can be run without installing, I generally use this driver when CuteMouse doesn't work. Acceleration can be configured from the command line.
  9. Logitech MouseWare Lite 6.411
  10. Promise EIDE2300PLUS drivers 3.10A
  11. Promise Ultra66 drivers 1.42:
2 identical disks of this one. Probably not super useful as the latest drivers are still hosted on promise.com
  12. Western Digital Ontrack Disk Manager 6.03 w Drive Rocket 1.1
  13. Western Digital Ontrack Disk Manager 6.03C

Vogondrivers has some steep limits on the image sizes (limit 1MB, 800x800 pixels, jpg, png, gif) , so anything you post is going to get reduced. You can post the stuff here, or put it on archive.org and give a link.

Yep. The "image" on an entry is only meant to be illustrative. If you want to include high-res images (pictures) with your images (binaries), then chuck them together in a ZIP before uploading.

The system that enforces image sizes is pretty simplistic. I need to revisit it in the future.

Hmm 15 floppies for 21Mb +/- plus 165Mb +/- for .tif images ??? seems a bit overkill 🤣

For sure! 🤣 I figured that since I have a scanner that can do 600 dpi that I might as well scan at the highest quality.

Anyways, here is the link: https://archive.org/details/@mlgladiator
I'm still updating some of the metadata but the driver disks and scans should be there.

Not sure how hard this would be to find, but the driver CD for an MSI GTX 285 or 295 may be from that time period.

Edit: oops, I misread your dates and thought you meant January of 2009 for 1.1. Still, these cards or a GTX 275 may have ended up with that software eventually.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.
