Hello all! I've been lurking here all week and I've thoroughly enjoyed the site. I got a retro PC on marketplace and I'm stoked to use it. It came with windows 3.1 and some software. However the CD drive wasn't working and the sound card wasn't being detected. I decided someone had been messing about with this unit before I got it and I wanted a fresh start. I've done everything I can to handle the software issues myself. I have freshly installed dos 6.22 and I've tried multiple drivers to install my soundcard. I think I have the right one now, it's a Packard bell oem driver I found online. However I cannot get it to see the CD-ROM. I know CD-ROM is good as before I formatted it the machine was working with cdrom but not sound. I had to reconnect the CD drive to the sound card to get it to work hence I know someone was tinkering before me as it was unplugged . That is why I decided to start from scratch. Anyways, it seems to be an Aztec nova 16 however I could definitely be wrong. Pic is attached. Had to scratch off the Packard bell stickers to see the chips. Drive is a cr-563-b
