Never. Would be nice to see the results on some kind of chart.

Hi, of course, when I'm back home, I will take a photo of the cpu jumper block (jp16-22). You can see my benchmarks of the combo a few posts earlier in this thread, including Quake. With a 44,52Mhz FSB (Cyrix running @134Mhz), I get 21.5 FPS in Quake. With the stock 14.318Mhz crystal and a 40Mhz FSB, I get 17.2 FPS

Thank you so much!

Is that with Quake v1.06 or v1.08?

I should have just scrolled up! V1.06. Some nice scores!

Thanks! I found an photo i've already taken with the CPU jumpers visible, so I made you a little graphic of the jumper settings

Thank you! CPU is working.

Nice, good to hear! Do you have your L2 cache in WT or WB mode? If you want to use it in WB mode, make sure the dirty tag bit is working properly. So far I haven't had a motherboard with a SIS85C471 chipset where this has worked out of the box...

WB mode with the dirty bit is working out of the box 😉 Some screenshots without Cyrix enhancements enabled.

Guys,
The 486 computer is like an American funny Car dragsters.
You build it for optimal performance and push it to its limits.
You take a single cylinder engine and push it to its limits
It’s like a lawn mower engine.

This reminds of when I was a kid we use to build mini bike motor cycles and go carts
Out of lawn mover engines and race them on a dirt track and push them to the limits.
It was a lot of fun and we learn how to build them from scratch.
