Hi retro enthusiasts,

I'm the owner of the following system:
-Gigabyte GA-5AA motherboard rev 3.2
-Chipset ALI Aladdin V @ 100 MHz
-AMD K6-2 @ 550MHz
-Noname sd -> ide adapter
-Asus Voodoo 3 3000 AGP
-128MB PC133 @ 100MHz
-Crystal ISA soundcard

The thing is, i think it is underperforming. There are more threads about this topic, but not with the normal K6-2. I hope there are more owners of this motherboard, to compare the results of some benchmarks.

1: Speedsys
Memory bandwith: 352 MB/s
Vesa memory: 83525 MB/s
CPU score: 631.00
Data cache L1 (32KB) 2505.92 MB/s
Data cache L2 (512KB) 317.38 MB/s
Memory Throughput 172.87 MB/s

2: 3dMark99 640x480 tripple buffer (16 bit colors)
2304 3DMarks
6715 CPU 3DMarks

3: Final reality Default settings No sound
3.35 Reality marks

4: 3DMark 2000 640x480 tripple buffer (16 bit colors)
1247 3DMarks

Anyone experiencing the same results?

Operating System?
Size of external cache?

It may be likely that just 64 of your 128 MB SDRAM are inside the cacheable area of your external cache.

Operating system is windows 98se.

The size of the external cache is 512KB.

I will try 64MB RAM.
