as title furmark2 latest version keeps restarting pc. after launching furmark2 (also1) its instantly restart itself.

My gpu is rx570 and 500w msi psu. I tried another psu which is 290w and furmark successfully working. No problems With games like gta5.

So this 500w psu broken or? Thanks

500W MSI PSU and 290W PSU is basically telling us nothing.

Until we know the exact model or the amps rating per rail our guess is as good as yours 😉

Msi MAG A500N-H -500w- new

Dell L29OEM-01 -290w- using 10 years

Unless you have a dual xeon machine next to the RX580, that MSI one should do fine with 38A on 12V. Guess it's broken.

thanks. i already bought new one ( refunded old one ) and still same behavior. i dont think its broken because games were works fine. tried 3dmark 11 works fine. maybe its all about furmark itself?

If furmark itself works with the other PSU, why would it be furmark?

It stresses a GPU beyond whatever games would normally, so I don't count games in the same league. If the PSU isn't able to cope with transients / load jumps of your card in that scenario, it's imho insufficient / broken.

I also wonder how you can test the card with those 2 PSUs, as one is ATX and the other one proprietary Dell, what is the rest of the platform?

using cable which converts psu to dell optiplex compatible.

so im not having problems without furmark, playing games etc. so thanks for answers.
