Initially this worked OK although it did hang once or twice towards the end of speech sections. Luckily I was able to get into the save menu, and reloading the save file allowed play to continue.

Since messing about with my soundcard installation - but ultimately going back to the original setup - it has started to hang as soon as any speech occurs - now no audio is played apart from OPL3 music (Re: SB Live + ESS Solo 1 under Windows 98SE?)

It has also always reported a low memory error at launch - see attached images.

Machine is an Athlon XP with SBLive, windows 98se and 512mb. I know it's way too modern for the game, but it did work OK before!

Incidentally, no issues with Sam and Max hit the Road from the same CD...

Cured this by setting the card to use DMA1 (SB Live + ESS Solo 1 under Windows 98SE?)

Well done getting it working properly on an Athlon XP, in my experience the audio in this game hates anything faster than a Pentium 90; same for Fate Of Atlantis.

DoTT has such a great soundtrack, glad you got it straightened out.

90s PC: IBM 6x86 120Mhz. 128MB/6GB. ATI Rage Pro 3D.
Boring modern PC: R9 3900X, RX 7800XT. 32GB/1TB.
Fixer upper project: NEC Powermate 486SX/25. 16MB/400MB.

More by luck than judgement! So far the machine has ran everything I've put in it with ease, very pleased with it.

Still getting the memory errors and occasional crashes but very much enjoying the game.
