Must be in standard mode.
must use the patched DOSX.EXE provided
must use manually configured SNDBLAST.DRV settings in the .ini files, including the ignore irq setting.

Expect issues.

Basically:

1) Install win3.1

2) install and configure vsbhda normally. Use the 16bit version of the extender and driver. NOT 32bit.

3) copy the supplied dosx.exe to the windows install, and overwrite the existing one.

4) ensure sndblst.drv is present/installed.

5) manually add the information for sndblst.drv to system.ini, including 'verifyint=0'

6) make sure windows starts in standard mode.

The easiest way is to tell windows that you are installing a soundblaster 1.0, in the multimedia control panel, then bail on the configuration.

the config window will never detect a soundblaster when using vsbhda. But, the act of trying will unpack and install the needed files. The driver must be configured manually.

The thing is... I do not have a sndblast.drv present, where can i get that, exactly?
