A friend gave me a non-functional SC-55 MK II. Upon inspection, I found the issue was simply a faulty power supply; it worked perfectly after I replaced it. However, I noticed three flying wires on the motherboard. The adhesive securing these wires is the same type used to secure the capacitors, so I suspect this was done by the manufacturer. The unit runs on the early version 1.00 ROM. I am very curious about the function of these three jumper wires—has anyone else encountered an SC-55 MK II with similar wiring?

These bodge wire usually used to fix a flaw in the design or just because there wasn't enough space on the PCB for those traces. There's nothing special about them.
