Auto cycles don't work for REAL mode games which Wolf3D and Spear are.

those suggestions are in the conf file itself once you generate it.

So which cycles should i put? I tried 15000+ cycles and the game was still running choppy.

Yes, but which ones should i put? Does it make a difference framerate-wise if i select overlay, direct3d, opengl, etc?

Not really.

Direct3D isn't supported in DOSBox.
OpenGL is iffy. Depends on the video card/drivers.

Use Overlay or DDRAW and then OpenGL if those don't work.

Thanks for your suggestions, i will try them out! One last thing, when i maximize the screen with alt-enter, it doesnt go full screen, the game only takes slightly more than half of the screen. Where do i specify resolution? And is that related to the values in scaler?
