Hi all! Total noob here, so bear with me.
After learning the very basics of Dosbox and slowly relearning bits of the DOS command line, I seemingly successfully installed an old game known as Star Crusader (it's from 1994.) ... but ran into a problem.
Per the sticky, specs! I'm running Dosbox 0.72 on Mac OS 10.4.11; on an Intel Macbook:
Processor: Intel Core Duo @ 1.83GHz
RAM: 1GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x512)
Video: Intel GMA 950, 64MB shared system memory
I'm not sure what the sound is on this machine, nor am I sure what sound and video mode I've got Dosbox in.
I tried running it from the emulated hard drive and got the error that MSCDEX wasn't loaded... so assumably this old game runs from both the CD and the HDD.
So I went and mounted the CD again, then tried running the game again.
Crash. No error messages from the game, nothing from Dosbox, Dosbox just up and closed itself. This happens every time (5 times now...). I'm also not quite sure where to find the config file to play with the settings.
So any help would absolutely lovely; I'd love to play my beloved old games on my current machine.
