This is the first time i've ever used DOSbox, and I have no idea what i'm doing......

I'm trying to play the crystal maze from a cd-rom, so i mounted my E:/ as this is the cd-rom drive.

I then entered the folders, E:/>/pc/cmaze

i then pressed enter and nothing happened - i've tried installing it, but, the folders its been installed into are empty...

I was wondering if anyone knew how i could start the game, as all the manuals, read me's and other forum posts have not helped!!!

Thanks, Clare

Read them again. More carefully.

If you still can't figure it out, you'll have to give more details. What operating system are you using? Why are you typing "/pc/cmaze" ? What command are you using to mount the drive? What did you do when you tried to install the game? Details, details...

I'm using windows vista - dosbox version 0.74

i typed /pc/cmaze as thats where i believed the file to be stored, and thats what it said on the read me, to put the location of the file....

To install the game i put (E:/ is my cdrom drive where the game is)
E:/> dir /w
E:/> install.bat

then a list of options came up - see attachment. But i've tried all of the options and they all say the file couldn't be made but that installation was successful - but it wasn't!!!

Command to mount was
z:/> mount e "e:/> -t cdrom" and same for the C:/ drive.

Sorry, i must sound a bit daft, just don't know how to use it!!!

The slashes in your post go the wrong way making it harder to read. As well as quote since it was making 😒 faces.
You should use mount d for the CD-ROM.
-t cdrom doesn't go in quotations. Those are for when specifying a path with a space in it so that it will be read continuously.

Since it's trying to use the command xcopy to install see this thread.
