Not sure if my system stats are necessary, given the nature of the problem im having. Dosbox (0.73)with New Horizons Uncharted Waters works beautifully on my laptop.

I have been playing it for the last 2 days almost straight (have strep throat and partially bed ridden) Ive been saving like every half hour, but about an hour ago the game began to slow a little so I exited out and restarted my laptop. When I reloaded the game, all the save files are empty/ I tried closing it and reloading the shortcut, the actual icon, the icon that has the version as part of its name, everything I could think of.

And to make it even a bigger kick in the throat, just to see if it would work, I started a new game, saved and exited. Now every time I reload, that save file is there but none of the original. Will I ever see my precious save files again, or should I just roll over and start a new game/die?
