I am running DosBox 0.74. I am trying to get Wing Commander 2 running. I have read that I should use the LoadFix command. The problem is that whenever I use this command the program does not load. All I see is that memory was allocated, and then memory was freed. I put this under general because I am not sure if this is specific to the game, or if it is a DosBox problem.

Thanks for the help.

There is a wc2.bat file in that folder that starts the game.

It is ran from the CD because it does not install runtime files on the computer.

Nevermind. I found a workaround to get it to install correctly. I guess loadfix only works on exe's. Thanks for the help.

Why don't you just copy all files to your harddrive? You won't be able to save your game progress as long as you kepp running it from the CD.
Btw, loadfix doesn't have anything to do with .exe files, it's an internal DOSBox command. Simply type "loadfix", 64kb will be allocated & freed and WC2 will work like a charm afterwards.

WC2 needs -20 to get around a certain level.
