Hello,

I appreciate any assistance I may receieve as I am new to using dosbox.

I am currently using D-Fend Reloaded which so far made DosBox easier to use.

I own the CD-Rom to Warcraft 2 and when I install from source media "Original CD" in D-fend, the game installs and I can play it. Then when I go to play it at a later time the program tells me the file is a Windows Executable and DosBox can't play it.

I don't know how to install from original CD and still play it later?

Thank you help.

the first question I would ask is why are you trying to run a windows program in dosbox
(ps: screenshot too small to read the text)

pps: If you want to play warcraft 2 it is a really good idea to run the game
instead of the level editor

Hi,

It is DOS based as per CDRom and it does play at first when I install it through DosBox but doesn't open again... I have full game play when imported it from the source media on original CD.

I don't know what you mean by map editor as I was attempting to open the game itself not these editor.

sfxed95.exe is a program that allows you to change the sounds of the units. It is designed for Windows 95.

You're supposed to start War2.exe.

I'll also advise fixed cycles of 35000-50000 due to the scrolling speed issue

I am so dumb I didn't notice it was the sound file! I should be able to switch that with the war2.exe then maybe?

Thank you for help.
