Also going to 320.18 WHQL had no effect. Perhaps it works only under Win7...?

I guess it wouldn't help against tearing anyway if it doesn't synchronize the frames...
in the comment there is that you can use it together with vsync with 2 frames less to remove the lag
When do i notice that input lag?
I tried a game with vsync and without (over 100fps) and don't see any screen lag. When moving mouse/pressing keys screen reacts immediately.
In the majority of FPS games it's very noticeable from my experience... try anything GoldSrc.
Just run everything at 160Hz with adaptive vsync enabled and the problem is gone 😎
