I've had similar system and have to say it's video memory upgrade,just proprietary board with memory.

That was my thought too but I've never seen one on a motherboard. Curious. 😐

I asked the seller if he would include a photo of the reverse side for us.

I have this exact part at home. It's definitely video RAM upgrade.

Integrated video card with expandable memory (via daughterboard), with daughterboard installed. Possibly ATI Rage.

In fact it's a cirrus logic integrated (the video chip is left to the expansion memory module)
