Hello. I have a Pentium 100 machine that I run DOS on (CDU DOS 7.1).
I wanted to install one of my games from floppy but the machine just doesn't like reading ANY floppy with ANY drive. In DOS when I do dir a: or anything that touches the A drive it says "Not ready reading drive A:", even when I have a floppy, I even changed the cable but that didn't fix it either.
It also doesn't want to boot from one, it just skips it, doing just one brief seek noise and passing to the HDD.
The machine has a dry Dallas chip that is unfortunately non-socketed and I kinda suck at desoldering so I didn't mod it.
Can somebody help me sort this out?
