Ok, I want to connect this: Windows XP DOSbox==Windows ME MS-DOS Is there anyway to do this because the computer in my room is like 533mhz and this one is 2.6 ghz. And you guys probably already know how slow DOSbox is on a 533mhz computer. So I want to connect MS-dos with DOSbox, but MS-dos I think doesn't have the ipxnet command. Any ideas?[/img]

Lemme get this straight....

You want to play:

Windows ME Computer
Duke Nukem 3D
IPX

Windows XP
DosBox
Duke Nukem 3D
IPX in DosBox

IIRC, Support for IPX->Real IPX isn't in DosBox yet, it's only DosBox IPX->DosBox IPX.

Why not just use Jonof Duke3D on both computers? I've played Jonof Duke3d on an ol' K6-400 and while it wasn't as fast as I would have liked it to be it's your only real choice if your going to play it on a 533mhz computer with a Windows XP comouter.

I think you can do this with dosbox versions that have "native IPX support" built in. Check out this thread: Native IPX support . I think you'd have to install the ipx protocol in windows on both machines too.

It might be easier to use a windows port of Duke3D though. Check out http://jonof.edgenetwork.org/index.php?p=jfduke3d and http://www.rancidmeat.com/project.php3?id=1

The multiplayer option in Jonof's Duke3D port is hidden cos it's not really fully supported yet. You need to start it with a command line option (read the releasenotes.html file in the jonof Duke3d folder), or use DukesterX as avatar_58 suggested.
