Hello,

I recently purchased Unisys CWD 5001-ZA computer. Considering its small size I am looking at purchasing some nice Sound Blaster 16 ISA card with authentic OPL3 chip that will fit in there.

What would be your recommendations?

What about Sound Blaster 16? 😀

CT2890 is pretty small.

Are you sure that CT2890 will fit in? I am writing about the smallest PC ever[1]. Later Sound Blaster 16 cards were small, but they actually did not have OPL.

well it has a 16bit ISA slot and then some space in front of it too, that already opens it up to a huge range of cards... also definitely not the smallest PC ^^

CT2890 might be too tight, but there's so many cards with OPL that would fit... aztech, yamaha ymf7xx etc.
there's even plenty of cards with an onboard wavetable that are not longer than a 16bit ISA slot.

what do you have at your disposal? or are you looking to buy one?

The Pro Audio 16 Basic (essentially a PAS16 without the SCSI CD-ROM interface) looks like it might fit: https://retronn.de/imports/hwgal/hw_sound_car … tech_pas16.html
The PCB measures 18cm long, what's the maximum length the PC can take? It's not an SB16 but does have genuine OPL3, its own 16-bit sound standard and backwards compatibility with SB 2.0.
