So recently I tried installing 95 OSR 2.5 onto a K6-2 500. It has been absolute hell, with the k6 issue, and then supplemental updates, chipset drivers for the VA-503+, and so on
Now i'm almost done, it all works, I installed DirectX 8.0a, DCOM95, and so on, but the Rage 128 just refuses to work. It installs, shows up as Rage Fury, and then 1. doesn't boot and 2. when it does boot, it just gives an error saying the display is not configured correctly.
Any help?

I have 256MB RAM, a K6-2 at 500MHz with the K6 patch, Rage 128 AGP part number 109-51900-01 with 32MB VRAM, on a VA-503+ board, and MVP3 chipset

The 503+ is a great board. As for the Rage 128 card, mine does not work well below 98SE. Wish I could help but never figured it out. added: also have a Rage 3d II that has driver issues. I think back then ATI just wrote crappy drivers as I remember they had to release a new one with every new game release.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

I accidentally found the perfect driver, https://archive.org/details/atirage105g01070105iso
works perfectly for 95!

I've got a Rage 128 (GL version ?) in my PowerMac G3 Blue/White and it's a really good card or so I heard.
It is or was among the fastest cards on the platform. It uses an enhanced type of PCI (66MHz ?) also.
Makes me wish it was using PCI 64-Bit also. https://lowendmac.com/1999/ati-rage-128-mac-edition/

For posterity in case anyone finds this from google: The linked drivers above don’t seem to support palleted textures properly (for the final fantasy games).

After entirely too much testing I found that these drivers seem to work the best with Windows 95:
