I just use OBS to record whatever as MP4 encoded in such a manner to minimize "processing time" on YouTube's part. I don't do any video editing.

When I used to do video editing, I was a moron with Windows Movie Maker, and then few years later after that "period" I was given Camtasia Studio as a gift but I no longer have the product code for it anymore so... I just don't bother with editing at all.

I'm not confident in there being any actual video editing suite that runs natively under Linux that wont crash at the drop of a hairpin, which makes me not bother with trying to do editing in the first place.

Da Vinci Resolve has a free version that runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, but is has a steep learning curve because it is aimed at serious video editing.

I use an old iMac from 2013 with built in iMovie. No fancy effects, but good enough.

For Sunday 2020-05-17 I plan another live stream. This time: Game of Life in x86 Assembler.

Life goes on, even with the Pandemic. However we have some real life casualties, like the late John Horton Conway. Although he was not happy to be mostly associated with the cellular automaton "Game of Life", he acknowledged its importance for mathematics and computer science.
Let's pay a tribute to him by live coding an assembler version and let's try to make it less than 512 bytes, so we could in theory fit it in a boot sector!

I needed a sound card for my Compaq 486. So I got a SoundBlaster 16 from Ebay. Stupidly I just thought that all ISA SoundBlaster cards work just by setting jumpers and making a tweak to your AUTOEXEC.BAT. Not in this case, it's a Plug n' Play (Vibra) card from 1995, more likely designed for Windows 95 or better.

So I made this video to shows you how to physically install the card into a PC, as well as configure the card with the Creative CTCM tool in DOS to make the card work in Plug n' Play mode. Then there's a demo. Where I play DooM. Of course!

After the 1084S monitor, my Amiga 500 gets an external Gotek USB Floppy Drive emulator. To be able to boot from it, we install a DF0 switcher. Many demos and games on the Amiga can only be booted from the first floppy drive, DF0. The external drive is called DF1. With the switcher we can toggle the external drive to be either DF0 or DF1.

Kickstart 2.x and WB 2.x is kind of cool for an unaccelerated A500+ or an unaccelerated A500 with extra chip mem (which can be hacked onto some A500 motherboards).

One thing that gets on my nerves (or grinds my gears as they say) is people selling Second Hand items as Refurbished - and I don't just mean eBayers but professional companies who part exchange items and then just sell them on as Refurbished when they have done nothing to it! REFURBISHED IS NOT THE SAME AS SECOND HAND - I've lost count of how many items I've had to send back to the supplier at work as so-called refurbished items turn up dirty so clearly nothing has been done to refurbish them!
