Thank you and yes, I have the same CPU and am pretty sure CPUZ ran OK on it last time I tried it. Can you boot NT/2K/XP on that system? If you can it would be interesting to see what Menu->Hardware->CPUID->CPU-0 reports, below is what I get on my CPU.

I assume it's MSR C0000087 it was trying to read and my identical Family 5 Model 8 (08) Stepping 12 CPU has it.
This makes no sense at all as my CPU should be the same and has C0000087, but your 'fixed' CPUZ no longer reports the FSB speed.
