It seems it takes an OR840 user to know that I/O panel. Indeed this is an IBM IntelliStation M Pro (Type 6868) Intel OR840 motherboard.

Very nice find. Strangely enough it was the audio ports that gave it away, and the hint about RDRAM.

Very interesting and unique board even amongst all the other cool stuff you've gotten your hands on.

As a bonus they don't look like they need fixing or much cleaning (if at all).

Having said that, judging by the rest of this thread, I'm sure they will get cleaned anyway 😀

I downloaded all the files from that thread since last year and at that time I thought that I might never find an OR840 let alone 2! The stuff in that thread is beyond epic. That made me want and OR840.

They are working as I received videos before the purchase. The PSUs and the graphic cards were a bonus. I must say that the PSUs were a gift from above as I didn't have too many options available.

The seller also had 4 x P3/1GHz/133 CPUs but those were waaaaayyy more expensive so I had to pass on them.

I plan to use two generic slotkets with P3s 1GHz/133 S370 CPUs. The slotkets worked well on my SuperMicro P6DLS motherboard. If this won't turn out well I have a pair of P3 600E CPUs that might do the trick.

WOW!!!!!! That is one seriously impressive haul you got there. I wish the flea markets by me had stuff like this.

I'm still numb and the adrenaline still flows through my veins. I stayed there for 5 hours until all the parts have been taken out of the van. I have even become friends with the dudes. 😁

This was an extremely lucky encounter. 6 years I went there and from time to time I found bits and pieces but never ever something like this. This shows that regardless of what you do in life, perseverance is rewarded. If you want something you have to go get it!

I've met a lot of people during these years and it pays off to be civilised no matter the circumstances. Heck, once I was surrounded by a few guys looking for trouble when I asked why the price is non-negotiable and because I didn't react in a bad way or spoke what must not be said nothing happened. Usually the people are alright there.

Knowing people there is a plus. All the regulars spot me from a mile away and know what I want. 😁

Time will tell if I'll meet them again with their white van and all 😁 ... they weren't from here and they only came because the flea market from their city was closed due to COVID.

I took the i752 card from the pile as soon as I saw it. At that time I didn't know what it was. In the heat of the moment all I could see was 752 and I remembered the fact that Intel made a few of them. I wasn't expecting it to be this rare. 😀 A welcomed bonus form me!

I still need to really inspect all of the cards and test them.

As I've heard i752 drivers are hard to come by. I'll dig deeper into the matter. Also I won't restore this card and I'll keep it as is. The only thing that I'm going to do it is going to be a little dust off and that is it.

Has anyone seen something like this on a motherboard after letting it dry from the alcohol treatment?

All I have is 91% at the moment due to a few things that keep popping up here and there and I'm out of DeoxIt D5. I know 99.9% is better, but hard to find at Microcenter, but easy to find on Amazon.

I did use baking soda, some 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and a toothbrush to scrub those areas and it looks a bit better than the picture above.

The dust or whatever it is comes off when I use my finger to get it off or a Q-tip soaked in alcohol and the other end to dry the area. I'd use my sink water, but there's so much crud in that it's not safe for motherboards, even the dishwasher isn't safe either since it only has 1 heat setting: hot.

Don't drench PCBs in alcohol. It can make them "foggy".
Sometimes even rubbing alcohol on them is enough to cause it.
With that said, never tried to find-out why some PCBs react that way ...

I didn't drench the board in alcohol. Just sprinkled some on the board to clean the bottom since it had corrosion and wanted to clean the bottom of the board from the vinegar to prevent that from peeling the silkscreen.

Yeah, I brutalized 2-3 boards by doing just that, before getting the memo.

IIRC the i752 ended up integrated into 810 chipsets, so you might have joy extracting drivers from intel's 810/815 graphics driver installer.

Same here, the only time I had this happen was if the board had weird gunk or flux residue on it that the IPA could not dissolve completely, and it would get smeared across the solder mask during drying. Wiping would make it even worse. I had to take dishwasher soap and toothbrush to some to remove the weird layer.
