I am not expert in music but I can recognize good one from..modern one. 😀
I usually prefer 70's, 80's, 90's music most type depending on the moment I listen to what I need to listen.. it can be rock, pop, whatever but depending of how great that music has been. If someone says to me that an album has been epic and generally recognized that way, I try to understand myself why and trust the experience of more expert people. But also happens to listen to movies soundtracks music when epic/emotional. It really depends on how I feel.
About modern music I can't really listen any.. beside the eletronic/vocal emotional one not to dance it but mostly for its energizing listening power (for example a good progressive one can be great to run or exercise in any sport).

Cruelty Squad's ingame music.

Especially the theme of the game's third (and final) ending.

Here comes the sun...in Dolby Atmos!

This marks the 7th or 8th time I've purchased Abbey Road on some new format. The BD-Audio edition was seriously overpriced, but curiosity got the best of me. I've listened to Abbey Road a few thousand times before, but never with gimmicky height channels! I just had to know how they'd pull it off without straying too far from George Martin's original mix.

It looks like an LP...

How do you like it ?

When I first heard a 5.1 mix of Tubular Bells, I was pretty much floored .

I haven't listened to it yet - saving it for tonight. It's all ripped to the file server and ready to go.

Definitely agree that Tubular Bells 2003 in 5.1 is absolutely incredible. I believe it's a native 5.1 mix.
My 2003 DVD also has a 5.1 mix of the 1973 version, but I haven't actually listened to it, mainly because Tubular Bells '03 is so dang good. One of these days, I'll give it a go. 😀

I found my old iPod Nano about 11 years after I lost it (it was in the car first aid kit for some reason). From back when smaller was better!

I've been listening to whatever my top 25 songs were in 2011, which includes a mix of things like 99 Balloons by Goldfinger, Muse, Audioslave, Rise Against and a lot of Enya for some reason.

I'm listening to the Quest For Glory 3 soundtrack via MIDI. It's one of those that can only be appreciated with good Wavetable MIDI and not the entry-level MIDI or FM synths that were common when the game was released.

So the Re-Volt theme music started playing on the drive home from work today, and now it's hopelessly stuck in my head. Real earworm, that.
