Hello and good evening everybody.

I have this mainboard:

I turned it on an hour ago. I got a CMOS error. I then replaced the battery with a new CR 2032. Now the PC boots without a CMOS error. But the following happens: I can get into the BIOS by pressing the Delete key, but the cursor keys are disabled. It doesn't matter whether I connect the USB keyboard via a PS/2 adapter or directly to the USB 1.1 port. A different keyboard doesn't help either. If I boot without going into the BIOS, the Win98 menu 1 to 8 appears and I can't move the cursor keys there. I just press F5 and then it crashes. The board is in an ATX big tower. I always turn off the power strip overnight. Could some kind of short circuit have caused the board to ignore the cursor keys on the keyboard? I've also tried CLEAR CMOS several times with a jumper, but that doesn't help. I'm desperate because I've already purchased many components compatible with the QDI:
1. V3-2k
2. AWE64
3. GUS Pico 2.0
4. 80 IDE HDD

Problem solved: yesterday I put the keyboard between two other things before going to sleep. By the pressure some keys were stuck. A fact that I couldn´t recognize immediately. After I discovered this, I hit the keyboard several times against the wall untill the keys were eased. Now I can boot normaly with DELETE and can move the cursor.
Thx to god and thx to this community here!
Now good night!

PS: I was really scared and after that thinking "OMG, why always me, I put so much energy and time in this Retro PC project and now the mainboard died, arrrgh"

I hope the wall is still fine 😅
