I'm working on this HP e-PC 42 at the moment:

It's a nice, very compact office system, with a Pentium 4 1.7 GHZ Willamette CPU, 512 MB RAM (image below is before the RAM upgrade) and ATI Rage128Pro 4XL onboard graphics.

It's running Windows XP Pro quite fast, but sadly it seems, that it can't run anything remotely 3D. Even my old P3 1 GHz with GeForxe 2 MX and 256 MB RAM runs way smoother. I assume the bottleneck is the 16MB VRAM of the Rage 128 Pro 4XL or maybe the non-optimal XP driver (i'm using version 6.13.10.5019).

Since there is no slot for external graphics i was wondering, if someone has a recommendation for a better driver and if i should be stuck with it, some recommendations of games which could run on this setup?
