Hi,
I have been using DOSBox for years and recently installed version 0.70
I am now having a minor, but annoying, problem. While DOSBox still seems to work properly, when I close it, the status window stays open and refuses to close unless I manually end the task using task manager. This happens every time I use DOSBox. DOSBox 0.63 still works and closes properly.

I have read the ReadMe, the FAQ, and have searched this forum, but have found no answer to my problem. I have played around with different settings for video, but nothing has helped. (Sorry, I didn't record exactly what changes I tried).

My System:
AMD 2500+ on MSI KM4M-L with BIOS 1.4
1 Gig DDR RAM (PC2700)
GeForce FX5200 (AGP) with 128MB
PCI128 Sound card
WinXP Pro fully patched

Thanks in advance.

Maybe something outside DOSBox? Do you have updated drivers? Maybe a SDL issue? Have you tried different SDL DLLs?

Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

Yeah, try the 0.63 SDL.dll with 0.70 Dosbox.exe

No new drivers. I just installed 0.70 a few days ago.

Gives me an error - DOSBox won't start.

By status menu do you mean the black screen that open when DosBox does?

Try the "-noconsole" parameter when starting DosBox.
