I followed the instructions for getting Pandora Directive to run. I have all six CDs copied to my hard drive, and I mounted each folder as a separate drive. I set it up so that the game will look for each CD from the mounted drives, rather than checking my CD-ROM drive.
I'm running DosBox 0.72 on Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2. It is a laptop computer with 2 gigs of RAM. I don't recall how fast the processor is. If you need more information about the hardware, please ask.
Anyway, everything is running great at first, until I attempt to go into one location near the beginning of the game. I can move around Tex's apartment, talk to different people, etc. But when I go into the alley behind the Ritz, open the gate, and walk through, the game crashes. When the CPU core is set to auto, I get an error message that keeps repeating over and over "DYNX86:Can't run code in this page". If I switch CPU core to normal, I get this error message instead: "Illegal write to 6bd60314, CS:IP 180:14205350" and this message repeats multiple times, each time the final number increases by two in hexidecimal numbers, finally ending at 180:142055a4. Is there another setting that I can change that might correct this problem?
