If it's over heating and the other cards arnt then there is something wrong. I'd start by doing a close up inspection of the card to see if anything is wrong or if any parts are different/wrong. Better cooling might help, but that's like putting duct tape on a cracked headlight if the other ones arnt over heating.
I have been comparing the card with another of the same model, that I found highres pictures of on the net. At first I thought that some of the empty solderpads, were missing components, yet nothing is missing at all. I have tried this card in at least 6 different system's that can drive another V2 just fine. And this card is failing all the time, unless I lower the clockspeed by these 5 to 6 mhz.

Right now, it is running on a system with an P3-500 and 100mhz FSB.

I have glued heatsinks on the three major chips and the 3-legged mosfet (sorry, my knowledge of component-names are limited)
EDIT:
Even at lower frequency, the card drives UT99 fluid at 800x600.
Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....
