Can somebody help me? I have a TermTek TK-3350 thin client (see: VIA-based thin client rescue ) and I want to boot it via USB. I installed Damn Small Linux into a USB, changed the BIOS to boot from USB-HDD but all I get is a blinking underscore ( _ ). Can somebody help me? Did I forget something?

I found such a machine that I bought years ago, but I never did anything with it. My machine has only a connector for a PCI/ISA Slot but not the PCI/ISA Slot itself, so I can't do anything with it. My machine had a 32MB Harddisk with automatic boot into a WinCE Environment-Connection.

What did I do:
- I checked the bios via F12
- I activated the SB-Legacy mode 220/7/1
- I installed MSDOS (via USB-FDD) and added SET BLASTER = A220 I7 D1
- I looked the temps and voltages

I recognized:
- Temps seem high to me. After a while 60 Grad Celcius for the CPU
- Voltages seem strange 5V is 6,8V and 12V is only 8V
- In dos the SB is found but I can't her anything. Is it muted, or is not not usable under plain dos? Seems strange to me because Win9x has a built in SB Emulation for Dos-Window/Fullscreen, so therefore such "legacy-sound-options" in Bios were nonsense.

I thought about using that 32MB Harddisk with MSDOS7 (LongFilenames) and VC with Long-Filename-Support. Installing TCP-IP for Dos and conecting it to my NAS and on the other side via Laplink to my Schneider Euro PC in oder to make data-exchange much easier. I don't know if this will work. I should first checkout if there are dos-drivers for the LAN.
