The AcerAcross 486DX2/50 from 1994 I've just been playing with. Has 32meg of ram, two hdds , DVD rom drive, 3.5" fdd, 256 L2 cache. Has MS Dos 6.22 with Quarterdecks EMM386, various PC Geos version, Wfw3.11, D esqView X end OS/2 v3 Connect on it.

There's a glitch in the matrix.

Apparently 32-bit is dead and nobody likes P4s.
Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉

Stuff I have out in my computer storage area in the garage. Those boxes are full of software and hardware from the 90s.

Added a 486 cooling fan in front of the HDD to prevent the drive from overheating itself by welding the fan to the front bay cover and it does work.
Last thing to add is the HDD activity light to the front bay cover and make the LCD have lights surround it to make the LCD panel visible at night.

Hello to everyone.

I am new to this forum, but I am very happy to share the joy I had when building my retro rigs.

Welcome to the forum! 😃
That's a nice, balanced system.
What's the modem for?

Thanks.

This Modem Board is currently installed on this system, so i would not toss it away. That's why i also have a 33.6k modem on my 486 too.

This PC I will revise in the future. I already bought a new Peltier cooler and collect cards with blue PCB - I think it will be quite funny 😁

And btw. I love my P4 midrange PC 😀 Re: Retro Rig Photo Thread

I run a P4 as a daily driver 😀. Did you know 32 bit stuff is not going to be a thing according to a least one computer history revisionist?

I handmade a clear acrylic case for a super socket 7 build, very happy with it, considering I'm not the most skilled at crafting.
