This is not what I had pictured in my mind after reading that you had setup for a LAN part in your "outhouse".

My sentiments exactly.. These photos ruined my dreams of playing Quake 3 with friends on a LAN while taking a dump.

Will do. Building up the systems now so they hopefully all work together on a network

Still a work in progress, but I wanted to have an area in my basement with computers for the three primary generations of windows that I grew up with: 3.11, 98, and XP. I still want to do better cable management, get some better seating, and maybe get new desks for them. But I like where it's at so far.

Right is a 486 DX2 66, middle is a 1.0ghz Pentium 3 with a Radeon 9800 pro, left is a Core2Duo E6600 with a GTX 470.

That Iiyama in the middle, nice! Used to have one like that, sad I had to dump it when moving countries. Which model is that?

S901GT, "Vision Master 450". It's excellent but it might be near the end of it's life. About every ten minutes, it "ticks" and flickers and degausses and then comes back to life. Still entirely usable and looks great.

It's possible that it just needs a recaping and be good for a long while more.

Here's my current setup....

The desk is where I swap out my modern and vintage machines periodically (obviously). Right now the 2015 iMac and Tandy 1000A are setup as I'm recording Tandy youtubes at the moment and I've been learning the Apple ecosystem as I use it at work (and because I do use Garageband for music sometimes, and the Mac seems quite good for recoreding in BandLab - that's what the Line6HD500 processor under the desk is for).

The Laptop rack is where the laptops are when I'm not using them, so they get showed off. On top of the rack is my DFI MediaBook 486DX2 (basically a rebadged NanTan 9200M), a BSi (NanTan) FMA3500C, the NEC Versa 40EC, NEC Versa V/50, and the NEC Versa P/75 at the bottom. My NEC Versa M/75 is next to it because that's the one out of the lot I probably use the most.

This is "holding" for other systems. On the top rack we have the broken Versadock which I might be cannibalizing soon. Next to that is the Blue Lightning Compaq Deskpro 386s/20. The second shelf is my 17" Dell CRT Monitor and 14" Micron CRT with the awful stain on top. On the bottom is my main 486DX4-100 system, and 2 other PC's in the next photo. Also on top is the "Beige Beast" InWin D500 mATX desktop that runs Linux.

Bottom of the shelf Left to Right - 486 DX4-100 main with the monitor on top (14" SVGA KDS I believe), next to that is the Moondog 486 DX4-100 tower with the digital readout, and next to that is my Dell Precision T5400 Linux Mint machine.

My favourite spot for fall DOS gaming is right under this Ohio Buckeye, especially on a holiday morning like today. I always get a kind of neat feeling bringing out a mug of cocoa & playing DOS games out here as the sun rises. This morning, the tree happened to shed half its weight; the golden leaves gently landing on me, my keyboard, and the laptop screen just made playing The Legend of Kyrandia an almost surreal experience!

Now that is a perfect back drop for some DOS gaming. You have quite the beautiful yard.

That is a sweet spot, from one "buckeye" to another. I'm in Bama these days tho but still migrate up north
to see family couple times a year.
