BTW,the theme is "iMac Theme for Windows v1.0" by PeZKiNg - it was very hard to find. I found it on the FTP of a old Win9x theme site. It also has a few other which are 2 modifications of the default theme and the third is a Intel Inside theme.

That reminds me that I have a Dell laptop (Inspiron 8000) with similar specs somewhere. I haven't used it in years. It would probably make a good Windows 98 gaming machine. It has a GeForce2 Go and 512 MB of memory.

But where would I plug in the joystick? Were PCMCIA cards with game port adapters ever made? Maybe there's one on the docking station (which I don't have)?

I regret to inform you that the win98 drivers for the geforce2go do not support external monitor. I gave up that idea a year back when I realized I would not care to play games outside the native resolution of the TFT, which is 1600x1200. Also I recall a few games not compatible with this mobile version of the geforce.

That would be a problem yes. I was counting on using an external monitor. It originally came with a Rage Mobility M4 which I swapped out. That might work with monitor, but probably isn't powerful enough for late 90s 3D games.

It has to be Game Port in order to use the extra buttons of the SideWinder 3D Pro. This functionality is lost when used with a USB adaptor.

I can probably correct this later if I'm wrong but here's how I pulled off that crazy flash plugin thing on WFWG311......BTW, I'm using the Win32s version of IE 5.01, so it's actually a 32-bit browser.

- I went to C:\program files\Internet Explorer\plugins and copied npswf32.dll to C:\IE501\plugins on the WFWG311 machine
- I then manually typed a direct link to the video I wanted to test with (in this case a Nirvana documentary for that 90's retro-feel)
- The loading circle would spin, I think there might be some dependencies that are causing it either not to load, or the video is just so darned big that it'll spin forever, as soon as it buffers it has to buffer some more to replay. I have not tried it on anything shorter yet, but I intend to.

the geforce 2 go is not tooo bad. can squeeze out some playable performance on some game you wouldn't think would work. GTA VC being one of them also some mid 2000s titles.

That's damn nice hardware VooDooMan, enough accelerators for a few builds from designated era 😎

The picture from the motherboard box,reminds me of my first pc,the motherboards user manual had the same picture.motherboard was a Chaintech 5VGM.
