Hmm, I'll post mine when I get home today... both my autoexec and config are pretty complicated menu option deals 😁 I get LOTS of memory with QEMM, and I bypass the SB16 drivers with SBMIX 😀

I flermmed the plootash just like you asked.

Played around a bit more, used DOSMAX as well.

Ha, well I get 625K largest executable program size! Beat that! 😉

We should have a "How much memory can you get with X machine and so many device drivers?" thread 🤣

The difference between yours and mine is, I have no CD driver (separate menu option), and I use SBMIX (doesn't install into memory) instead of Creative's mixer drivers. Also I use QEMM but I have no idea how much of a difference that makes.

I flermmed the plootash just like you asked.

Here are my multiple-choice files 🤣
They need some editing depending on the hardware combo, but you get the idea... not many fancy stuff included 😊
On my systems with UMBs activated I get more than 600kb of conventional memory, never needed more. Getting UMBs under DOS is mandatory 😀

Good stuff

Also I fiddled around some more, got it to 751K under 1MB and 619K free conventional!

All EMM386 options net me 617K free.
Extended with mouse and CD net me 584K free.
Extended with mouse only nets me 616K free.
Conventional with mouse and CD nets me 531K free.
Conventional with mouse only nets me 564K free.

I wish I understood what these all mean. I never grew up with Dos, so I don't know how to use it. I am trying to learn now and trying to get my first dos machine built. But I have do idea what I'm doing 🤣. Hopefully I'll be able to post my own settings in here soon
