Ive been a little flustered from the support ive been getting here lately. Some responses have been useful, mostly being from users, while others have not been the same story. Ive been trying to get back into my DOS games, though im pretty inept on the workings of DOS, so I posted 2 threads here for help. In one, I was met by someone I assume to be an admin who apparently never learned the true meaning of Christmas, judging by how rude he was. In the other, my thread was locked by another admin because I referred to my games as "abandonware," while I was still very much in need of help. So I suppose my continued support of these forums really hinges on the support I get from this question.
Anyways, like I stated earlier, I had been working with my DOS games, trying to get them to work, when suddenly I see that my computer has lost 7 gigs of memory, and prior to that, I recall having a few more mysteriously disappear. The only thing ive been doing with my computer since then was messing with my DOS games (mostly Elder Scrolls arena). I mounted and remounted these games several times, so Im wondering if DOSbox somehow saves the information from these mounts somewhere, or something along those lines. My current method of mounting a file is by dragging the batch or exe file over the DOSbox icon, so I didnt know if that might have anything to do with it.
Im running windows Vista on a Toshiba satellite laptop, and I started with DOSbox version 0.72 at the beginning of my workings, then moved to 0.73 towards the middle of it. Any help on the subject would be GREATLY appreciated.
