I haven’t seen this case a lot. And if, then mostly the bigger atx Version. It’s an original 486 dx2 build with vlb. But cd drive is from 1997. But guess this came in later.
It’s really well build and doesn’t have the typical sharp edges that most cases from that time have.
I think there was a complete line of it with different sizes. Also seen a desktop version of it some time ago on eBay. Somebody got more informations?

This looks like one of many dozens of InWin clones that were in the market in 97/98.

This one takes a full AT sized power supply and has retractable feet. The motherboard was an ASUS 486 VLB from late 1993 but the add-in boards were 1995 (Paradise Bahama 64 VLB & Promise EIDE2300 PLUS v2 ).

It is quite possibly the most generic and prolific of late mini tower AT cases in the market. I own one, my 5x86 system is built in it. It has a front speed indicator LED that can only show 586. I bought mine new old stock but I do not remember the brand. Regardless, it was made in Taiwan and the brand was definitely not the manufacturer. These cases are about as common as chlamydia.

anyone know much about this case? This is taken from a video from Necroware. This looks to be the desktop version of the mini tower case I had for my first PC. Unfortunately, my dad threw that machine away and since then I have spent forever looking for the same case. The case I had for my pc was from 1991/1992. I'm including a picture of the badge that was on my case. We bought that computer from a Taiwanese computer place in City of Industry, ca. It was called "golden everstar"

The mini tower had the same buttons, text, frequency display and etc. It also had the same step down design. The lights are identical to the one I had too, it must be the same manufacturer. Unfortunately you'd think i'd have a picture of my old case, but I dont. I saw this one in Nercroware's video and lit up because it looks to be the same design, just in desktop form.

I've never seen another like that case I had, not even a picture of it. I've scoured the internet and found nothing. I did find another case that had the same badge. Pic attached.

If anyone can help find who made it, another one like it, I'd be over the moon!

Hi there, is this the case you've been looking for?

Hi everyone.
I am looking for more info on this case, pic attached.
It might as well be a clone, or just a cheap old case, but my first ever PC was in a case, with a front like this, so it has some santimental value to me. I am looking forward to rebuilding my first ever PC so I am actively looking to buy one like this.

Has anyone ever seen a case like this?

Hello, sorry for my bad English, so I mainly used Google Translate.

Short context, the first PC I used as a kid was a 486dx33, 4MB RAM. I got rid of that PC in a thoughtless moment when I was 14/15 years old. Now it's not purely about the hardware, but mainly about the case. I know that that case was not only used for a 486, but also for the Pentium I, for example. I searched with Google Lens, and you will come across a few exactly the same cases. My questions for you A. Do you remember this case ? B. Is my suspicion correct that it is an unbranded case? C. Has this case been used very often in the past, in other words, would this case still be widely sold online?

Does the brand and/or company KT / AKE / AX (which seems to be on the badge) mean anything to you?

Thank you!

The sticker is for the system integrator name and so there was no retail market of cases at this time in a sense of what we have today.
In this post I have a photo of clearly a cousin model, with green Lintec sticker, just like the one you have found with google lens.

I have seen this photo a few days ago (before i created a vogons account)

The case looks the same. But it is not exactly the same, see the library for the alignment of the buttons. Maybe the same brand of case?

I'm trying to identify this case, i used to see it everywhere in the early 2000s but i don't know the model name or which manufacturer made it, i was lucky enough to find these two pictures of it.

Can't share eBay links, but there are a couple of these for sale now on that site - just search for "Full Tower AT", seller is based in LA.

Figured you guys might like this.

This seems to be a website dedicated to the ATX form-factor (also stuff like NLX, mATX, FlexATX) and it has a list of case vendors. Not every vendor had their own homepage, but I figure it's still a pretty useful starting point for research into the late 90s case manufacturers.
