Hiya!

I have an old ST351A/X HDD and I think it's a perfect match to finally test this JUKO 8BIT IDE controller:

So I found on Seagate's FTP the drive's jumper settings: http://computermuseum.informatik.uni-stuttgar … /ASCII/4252.TXT
I can't really understand it, must be getting senile 🤣 😵
What jumpers to I close to make it work? 7-8 is the obvious one to enable "XT MODE" , do I also need 1-2 and 11-12 ?

I am also unsure of the jumper settings on that controller as well 🤣

Any help as always is greatly appreciated 😊

I have several of these but haven't dared mess with the jumpers yet. Please let me know which settings cause yours to blow up.

Is this too much voodoo?

I'd guess you leave the "bus reset" jumper in whatever position it was in, appears it MUST be on one of those positions, but "system dependent" does not convey much, and the setting quietly disappeared from other drives, did that mean it standardized low, or high?
