I would be very surprised to find any Slot-A/Socket-A boards with healthy caps to be honest..

Question I would like to ask: do Abit motherboards with good capacitors even exist?

Well, last year I got a working ABIT KT7A s462 board with a Duron for 10 euros.
All caps looked surprisingly good, I expected to at least see some signs of degradation, but there was none.
Whether that counts as 'good' capacitors, I don't know... 😄 ...and I don't remember what model/maker these caps had, but i believe they were the standard fare for these mobos.

I definitely wasn't recommending it, I was responding to the LOUD comment 🤣

One of the benefits of HSFs like the AX7 was that it was only as loud as the fan you chose to use. Though there were plenty of people who would use high CFM/loud fans with them for maximum cooling to reach the highest overclocked speeds, I always chose the more moderate route.

ouch

speaking of packaging... got this Compaq CDS520 all in one the other day, it's quite heavy and was packed reasonably well I guess even though it's always hit and miss with heavy items like this, survived with all but one chip out of the plastic at the top unfortunately ^^

Have to identify some of these...not all Amiga related. I see a Kickrom-selctor, Amiga memory expansion, bus extension?, ...?

Nice stuff guys ! All i bought last few days is a NOS 25pack of 1.44m floppies for $3 at a Goodwill, and a few assorted cables, also inexpensive.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Those 72-pin simms are IBM 2MB. the 30-pin simm, looks like a 256k simm.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

The board with a VGA port and switch is an Amiga scan doubler I guess.

The square board, bottom right one is useful, an Amiga kickstart rom switch.. ah you got that one.

Ramboard up top is for A600 I guess

yeah, we were both a bit shocked that someone had ripped all those machines apart and sold them as scrap...

Yes, maybe I will tell him how much value he destroyed...after receiving the 2nd box. he didnt answer on my question if he has other parts left. In another auction he sold the remains of the PSUs...

Top right is this one:

The Hypercom 3 connects to the clock port of the A1200 and provides it with a high speed serial port (460,000bps) and a high speed bi-directional parallel port (560,000bps). The Port Plus is simply believe to be a Hypercom 3, rebadged and sold by Eyetech

Personally I wouldn't really mention it to the seller lest you destroy your chances of buying similar "scrap" lots in the future.

Last time I tried to tell a seller about how they destroyed a good card by cutting off the edge connector they told me they received it that way... yeah, right....
