I was reading past GPU reviews on Tomshardware and the TNT2 seems to have been the card that started the demise of 3DFX.

Yeah, the TNT2 Ultra version was REALLY difficult to find - mostly just the non-Ultra versions on eBay these days.

Nice! Is there a way to search ALL eBay sites together? I'm US-based.

I have always been going for the second or third best choice and this hasn't changed much with retro computing either. If a regular TNT2 is easier to find and cheaper then that's what I want. Same goes for the geforce 4200 or radeon 9700/9800. There are a lot more of these cards out there compared to the Ultra / Pro / PE Editions.

But these are the non Ultra versions right? The Ultra ones usually have a fan.

I wouldn't care to much, I usually end up adding a fan anyway on these older cards. Got a heap of modded cards and my last card that I recently modded was my v3 3k agp. Some long bolts, a 40mm coolermaster fan, and some mx-4 compound while keeping the original cooler. 🤣
Considered making a backplate for the whole card but short on aluminum plate. 😒

In the bottom left, is that a PCI to PCIe adaptor with a Voodoo card in it?

That's what it is.Too bad it's not a PCI to AGP adapter. Those are impossible to get anymore.

Boxed Creative Voodoo2 12MB.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200792430195

The description says AGP, but the box clearly says PCI.

Now I'll have matching SLI'd Voodoo2's for my Tualatin rig. Ooh yeah.

And if it turns out he used the wrong photo, and it is indeed some frankenstein AGP Voodoo2 card, it'll be an interesting piece to have anyway. 😀

Edit: So "giochi" means games... I wonder what these 12 included games are?

Well, the seller turned around and said OOPS he didn't mean for the item to be available worldwide. So I got a refund.

Sadface. I was really looking forward to having a boxed Voodoo2 as well! 🙁

wtf? those existed? damn, where were you when I needed one? that would solve the problem of putting any newer video card into my PCI only socket 7 system!

Sony CRTs are the shiz. I have two 21" Trinitron monitors, and a 25" PVM being used as an arcade monitor on my NeoGeo MVS cabinet.

A new in box Sony CRT is the sex.

Edit: And it seems I just won a copy of Jazz Jackrabbit on CD-ROM for 99c. Bargain.

I had a bit of a scare with the Sony - I noticed a little blemish up the top where the tube meets the plastic and of course, being unable to leave things alone, I tried to rub it off with a tissue. It looked like I'd spread a bit of glue around, so I rubbed harder... it got worse. I guess I should have read the manual because it turns out that these things have an anti-glare coating which is easily damaged.

Realising that I'd completely f*cked it up I was very annoyed with myself, but when you're going through hell keep going as they say, so I decided to rub it all off. It's taken a bit of doing but I'm almost there, and it's actually much brighter with it gone. I booted to Windows with it half off and in contrast to the cleaned part of the screen, the tinted part had a brownish tinge that did nothing for whites.

Oh boy I only just saw this.

Could you please take some pictures or a video? These PVM screens are legendary.
