Hi!
I'm trying to make a DOS system to play all my childhood games but I'm having some issues with older games. My configuration is the following:

- Pentium MMX166 mhz
- 64MB RAM
- Freedos
- ISA Sound Blaster AWE64
- S3 virge DX

I'm getting sound in modern DOS games like DreamWeb, Quake... but I'm tryng to make Monkey Island I&II to sound but I'm not capable of. F1GP has no sound too nor Alien Breed (This freezes when I'm trynig to configure it)

¿Why is this happening? ¿It is maybe an PnP issue? ¿Must I configure something in BIOS?

Thanks, and forgive my bad English 😀

Ask old hardware and its configuration in Marvin. This forum is for DOS games.

Ah, OK thanks for moving to the right place.

I load CTCM in Autoexec. This is the only thing I did and some games works, but some other dont.

thanks

Well, that's why I'm asking 😀

You need CTCMBBS and SBBASIC from the creative site. Extract both into folders, then run INSTALL.EXE from the SBBASIC folder. It will ask you to enter the path to CTCM, so enter the path to the CTCMBBS folder.

I've done a video guide if this was too brief:
