Ran SIV on the Z370 FTW, same thing as the Z370 Micro before you fixed it.

Thank you for the report and posting the files, how does the attached SIV64X 8472-03 test SIV do?

Looking at the sample counts then the SIO ones are lower than all the others, further in the save file it's reporting [Y]INUSE Wait 812 of 812 ms which usually indicates issues caused by other software.

Looks good now

file.php?mode=view&id=90646

Regarding INUSE Wait 812 of 812 ms, I think it's caused by MSI Afterburner because when I exited out of MSI Afterburner and looked at the SIO values, it was reporting as INUSE Wait 0 of 812 ms

Thank you and it also looks good to be, but a screen shots once SIV has been active for >= 5 minutes are better.

Once you get INUSE Wait 812 of 812 ms then to get back to INUSE Wait 0 of 812 ms then you need to exit and restart SIV. It's possible the BIOS triggers this, what do you get if you reboot the system and only run SIV?

Welcome to the forum, thank you for checking out SIV and posting the reports. In general SIV did OK, but as usual SIV struggled with the CPU ratio on Windows 9x. Please will you try SIV32L 5.52 Beta-03 which should improve things, does it?

I can't see why SIV did not report the disk SMART information on IRON-MAN, did a panel pop up asking for a reboot and if so did you reboot? If not then doing SIV32L -DBGSDM -EXIT=30 > SIV_DBGOUT.log from an MS-DOS command window (CD to C:\SIV\) should provide some insight. This command should run SIV for 30 seconds and write all the SMART Disk Monitoring debug information to SIV_DBGOUT.log.

I will test this later. I deleted the install on Copper-Man, so it will take time.

I think Iron-Man doesn't report the information as the Viper IDE controller driver I am using is preventing it.

Chances are that if the multiplier fix works on IRON-MAN it will also work on COPPER-MAN so there is probably no need to test it on both systems. Were you to install WXP on COPPER-MAN I expect SIV wold do way better.

Could be, the SIV support for SMART on W9x is relatively new so I don't have a feel for what does and does not work. Did you get the popup about C:\Windows\system\SMARTVSD.vxd?

Installing XP on Copper-Man caused Blue Screens during the install. I did not however try it on Iron-Man yet.

Strange, I don't see why that would happen. Thank you for trying.

I don't recall crashes while installing XP, 2003 refused to install on my Rise mP6, but would when I changed the CPU to an AMD K6 then ran OK when I swapped back to the mP6! I wonder if 2003 would install OK on your system.

Thank you, but I though you would do this on COPPER-MAN, that said I am pleased you installed 2003 on IRON-MAN as SIV did not do as well as I expected, this is mainly down to SIV not having support for the AMD-755/756 SMBus so I have added support.

Please will you re-do the save using SIV32X 5.52 Beta-04 or later. If the new code works then the [ SPD ] button should report the DIMM SPD data.

SIV was able to read the drive SMART data, so I guess it's the W98 driver that prevented this before, unfortunately the drive does not report it's temperature.

Looking in the manual I can see there is a optional hardware monitoring chip, does your board have this and if so can you see what the chip is. I don't think so as looking at https://retronn.de/imports/hwgal/hw_gigabyte_ga-7ixe4.html I think it's a W83782D and SIV did not detect one.

Hey, I tried SIV64X on an MSI 880G-E45, everything seems alright except for the 5v and 12v rail and the fan names.

Fan names should be CPU Fan and SYS Fan 1 and SYS Fan 2.

Good luck, maybe this was the root cause of the problems you had installing XP.

Thank you for the report and how does the attached SIV64X 7576-05 test SIV look please? If you post what the BIOS reports for the Fintek F71889F I may be able to further improve things.

BTW I noticed that the WD2500AAKS-00B3A0 is reporting a none zero Re-allocated Sector Count 🙁

Looks good, low 12v is due to that crappy psu from earlier.

As for the hdd, it's a drive I got lying around here so not a big deal.

Yep, all looks good, the changes will be in 5.52 Beta-05 which I will release in the next few days. Thank you for the BIOS screen, I was wondering if any other voltages would be reported.
