AIDA64 reported my 900 MHz Xeon running at 5x180 MHz

It's a bug in AIDA64, I expect its only using 4 bits when it should be using 5 bits. It's nothing to do with the MB jumper settings.

The multiplier comes from MSR 0000002A (EBL_CR_POWERON) and for Coppermine or Cascades CPUs >= stepping 0x03 it's 5-bit rather than a 4-bit value with x9.0 being 0x10. To convert this value to the multiplier SIV has a 32 entry vector with 0x00 -> x5.0 and 0x10 -> x9.0.

I recall SIV also having an issue before I fixed it, the SIV bugette was always using a 5-bit value for Cascades.

I noticed the speed reported by CPUZ 1.74 looks to be incorrect, I assume it should be around 1000 MHz rather than 1138.81 MHz, should it? I am also wondering if this has been fixed in CPUZ 2.03.0.x32, has it?

The newer version does indeed report it correctly!

Here's the SGI Visual Workstation 320

I have just uploaded SIV 5.67 Beta-07 which should report the half the Xeon CPU temperatures and the GPU on Windows 2000, does it please?

I am not sure which Xeon CPU each temperature is for, maybe you could figure it out by trying just one CPU in each of the four slots if that is possible. Basically I need to know which SMBus address is used by each slot.

Thank you for checking and I suspected it would. I will be surprised if CPUZ reports a GPU, does it please?

CPUZ unfortunately didn't show any GPU information!

This is the information I was able to get for you though:

Thank you for confirming CPUZ did not report a GPU, but what about SIV 5.67 Beta-07? I suspect/hope it did so please may I have new save files so I can check how what SIV reports compares to the screen shots?

Most of the information reported by the screen shots should be on Menu->Machine->GPU Info and/or Menu->Machine->Graphis.

Here's the report from the new beta on Windows 2000.
Not sure why it shows CPU2 and CPU3 in the "Machine" section - currently only 2 are installed and this is what SIV shows on the "front" page.
It reports 0-bits for the graphics memory bus. The memory bus in this system is 256-bit (always, both VW320 and VW540).
This will be probably my last report, since tomorrow someone will pick this system up. I will make him aware of this thread.

Thank you for checking out Beta-07 and posting the results. All the adjustments I made worked as I hoped they would.

The [Machine] panel reporting CPU-2 + CPU-3 is down to the system BIOS incorrectly setting these in the SMBIOS data, it's the standard Garbage In -> Garbage Out. This is not the only error I spotted, Pentium II should be Pentium® III Xeon™, Slot D, Banks 11-15 should be Slot D, Banks 12-15, I suspect 5.0ns (200MHz) should be 10.0ns (100MHz) and further down after Slot C Banks 8-11 there should be Slot D Banks 12-15. I also have my doubts about Bits 48

0-bits means SIV does not know how many bits, further it's also reporting ISA which I expect is incorrect, what should it be? Given time I could improve what gets reported, but not before tomorrow. One thing that would be handy is a registry export of HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\Sgcomp\Device0.

gpu-inf.png - I think is not what you intended to post

I'm attaching the registry export.

There are definitely no ISA slots, I guess it might see something from the Intel PIIX4E.

All the "odd"devices (audio, graphics, video, including digital I/O, firewire) are attached directly to the chipset, basically part of it, not via PCI, so I guess that's why they are "undetectable" or misdetected as ISA.

I've also updated the gpu-information picture in the previous post.

Thank you. I checked what is available, there is nothing I have not seen before and SIV has reported "HardwareInformation.ChipType" + "HardwareInformation.DacType"+ "HardwareInformation.AdapterString" + "HardwareInformation.MemorySize" long time. I was hoping there was other information.

Maybe for the GPU Information to show anything, you need a specific Windows Update? The machine I was running SIV on had all updates installed.

For those curious, here's the Graphics info for the 1600SW panel

Thank you, something is strange as on the 540 running Windows 2000 it reported as below.

file.php?id=148719

Please will you post a registry export of HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\VIDEO. Within this there should be \Device\Video0 and maybe others with the data being similar to \Registry\Machine\System\ControlSet001\Services\Sgcomp\Device0 so also export whatever it points to, in this case it would be HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\Sgcomp\Device0

It would also be helpful if from a command window you did SIV32L -DBGGPU -DBGOUT > SIV_DBGOUT.log and attached the generated SIV_DBGOUT.log

Thank you, your 540 is as I expected and SIV reported the GPU, it's the 320 information that I need to see.

The attached SIV32L V5.67 GPUs-08 test SIV should do a rather better job of reporting the GPU on your 540, does it?

Do you know what the GPU RAMDAC is and/or it's speed please?

I see it reports now the memory speed for the GPU.
As for the RAMDAC, I think it's integrated, at least I can't identify anything on the motherboard that looks like one.

It also says MCH rather than ISA and the description is now Cobalt Graphics. It should also report the core clock as 100 MHz and 256-bit memory.

No, it half works, please try one of the later SIVs I have posted.

Here's the registry file:

Thank you, so far so good, I can see \Device\Video0 is \REGISTRY\Machine\System\ControlSet001\Services\Sgcomp\Device0 which is what I expected.

I also need the registry export of HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\Sgcomp\Device0 as SIV must have an issue with whatever it contains.
